Hardware Recommendations for Blender
Similar to other software developers, Blender Foundation keeps track of the Blender system requirements, which you can use to make sure your computer's hardware is compatible with their software. But most "system requirements" lists simply address the minimum amount of hardware needed to run the software, not what will truly perform at its peak. In addition, these lists occasionally include substandard hardware on them, are out of date, or display obsolete hardware versions.
Processor

One of the most important parts of a Blender workstation is the CPU, or processor. Rendering, physics simulations, animation, and modeling are among the activities that the CPU does. Blender's GPU renders far more quickly, although the CPU can still deliver better performance.
As of right now, Blender's fastest CPU varies depending on how you work. Tasks involving modeling and animation perform better on a single, quick core. However, rendering performs better on more cores. There is some division in the simulations. While fluid simulations will use many cores, simulations with cloth and hard objects will only use a few fast cores. High clock speeds have the greatest impact on modeling and animation, especially as projects become more complex. Because of their large CPU core counts, AMD now leads in rendering and other well-threaded workloads. But Intel's CPUs often have faster clock speeds per core, which makes them more suitable for modeling applications.
The new DDR5 RAM combined with Intel's and AMD’s processors is the ideal choice if modeling and animation are your main priorities.
The AMD Ryzen 7000 Series, Intel 13th Generation or newer, Threadripper 5000 Series, or newer CPU with Octa Core Processor is the minimum CPU recommended for Blender.
Memory (RAM)
Any open applications, simulation caches, and renderer caches are all kept in RAM. When a system requires more RAM than is available, it starts storing and reading data on the hard drive. Slower load times and frame rates are the result of a hard drive's significantly slower performance compared to RAM.
The specific process will determine how much memory is required. With modest projects, Blender itself can run on a PC with 16GB of RAM. More extensive projects will need 32 GB. What other applications are being utilized in addition to Blender should also be taken into account. Many artists will run many high-end programs simultaneously, requiring 64GB of RAM or more. In our experience, the majority of high-end customers typically use between 64 and 128 GB.

Video Card (GPU)

The number of models, textures, and effects that can be shown on the screen, together with the number of frames per second that can be shown, are controlled by the video card, also known as the GPU. Blender uses the GPU as well because it has an integrated rendering engine.
The final resolution and project complexity will determine how much VRAM is required. It is best to stay on the side of caution and purchase a video card with more onboard memory than you require if you are unsure, as running out of VRAM causes a noticeable drop in performance as it will have to use system memory to make up the difference. NVIDIA cards have a significant performance advantage over AMD when it comes to rendering due to the OptiX and CUDA APIs.
Storage Device
Primary Drive: OS/Software (SSD/NVMe): Includes your operating system and the base Blender installation. An SSD is highly recommended as it will greatly improve how fast the OS and programs startup, but you can also upgrade to a faster NVMe drive for a small performance benefit. The recommended storage for installation of software is not more than 10 GB
Since the primary drive will primarily be used to store Windows and software, including all software (except large Game), it doesn't need to be that large for the majority of users; a 500GB SSD will be enough for Drive C.
Secondary Drive: Project Files (Platter/SSD/NVMe) Having a second storage (either SSD or HHD) for storing assets and effects is a wonderful alternative if you have additional money to spend or keep a lot of them around for use on different projects. Of course, an internal or external hard drive is a more cost-effective option than a high-capacity SSD if you need more mass storage and preservation.
