Hardware Recommendations for Autodesk Inventor
Similar to most software developers, Autodesk keeps track of the system requirements for different Inventor versions, which you may use to make sure your system's hardware is compatible with Inventor. However, the majority of "PC requirements" lists focus more on what hardware is necessary than what would provide the optimum performance. Moreover, some lists may be out-of-date, include outdated modifications, or just plainly list substandard hardware.
Processor

When it comes to Inventor, the majority of the program is just single-threaded, which means it can only use one CPU core. Because of this, we usually advise selecting the CPU with the greatest frequency when making a decision. That refers to CPUs made in the current generation, such as Intel's Core i9 or i7 K-series, which have a good number of cores and fast clock speeds. However, many of those processors' cores are slower "efficiency" cores, which work best for rendering that is densely threaded and for background operations.
The inventor can only use a small number of cores for modeling and signing. For general modeling jobs, we have found that the CPU with the maximum running frequency will provide the best overall performance. Our top choice is the standard Core i7 and i9 CPUs from Intel, which now offer very high single-core clock speeds without coming at a significant cost.
A list of the reliable tasks in Inventor that can utilize multiple cores can be found here, but CPUs with multiple cores, such as the ones suggested above, are also capable of doing very well in these situations. There may be good reasons to go to an even higher core count, though, if you spend a lot of time with rendering or finite element analysis (FEA) simulations. We provide a workstation with AMD's Ryzen 9 7950X, which has sixteen full-speed cores, for those situations.
Memory (RAM)
We typically advise a minimum of 32GB of RAM for all of our systems, while exactly how much you require will depend on the size and complexity of the model you will be using. In actuality, Inventor has relatively low RAM requirements; Autodesk merely suggests 8GB of RAM.
However, we believe that 32GB is a decent starting point because of the relatively low cost of RAM and the fact that most users typically have more apps open on their PC than just Inventor. While 64GB of RAM is required for demanding simulation or rendering tasks,. Any other software you run alongside Inventor will also require memory space, so keep that in mind.

Video Card (GPU)

The video card is liable for Autodesk Inventor’s 2D and 3D model screen displays Only 3D models require anything more than a basic GPU. Since most operations in Autodesk don't really require an upgraded video card, we usually advise getting a mid-range GPU to handle the demands of Inventor and other related apps that do require a GPU. Since Inventor does not heavily use the GPU, VRAM is typically not a concern. If you have a 4K display, we recommend having at least 4GB to 6 GB of VRAM, although all the video cards we currently offer for Inventor have at least 8GB of VRAM.
But on the other hand, Arvuti.in also suggests you use only workstation cards, such as NVIDIA's professional RTX A-series product line cards, which are officially certified and recommended by Autodesk. As a result, we strongly advise utilizing certified cards in any business environment to ensure that Autodesk will provide you with complete support in the event that you have a software problem.
Storage Device
Primary Drive: OS/Software (SSD/NVMe): Includes your operating system and the base Autodesk Inventor installation. An SSD is highly recommended as it will greatly improve how fast the OS and programs startup, but you can also upgrade to a faster NVMe drive for a small performance benefit. The recommended storage for installation of software is not more than 10 GB.
Since the primary drive will primarily be used to store Windows and software, including all software (except large Game), it doesn't need to be that large for the majority of users; a 500GB-1TB SSD will be enough for Drive C.
Secondary Drive: Project Files (Platter/SSD/NVMe) Having a second storage (either SSD or HHD) for storing assets and effects is a wonderful alternative if you have additional money to spend or keep a lot of them around for use on different projects. Of course, an internal or external hard drive is a more cost-effective option than a high-capacity SSD if you need more mass storage and preservation.
